Tooting Free Press #1 launch!

In these troublesome times intellectuals, rebels, anarchists, seers, beatniks, hippies, punks, surfers, mods, skins, and all other strange people seek an alternative viewpoint to the hot lumps of shit fed to them by the powers that be. Well look no further you bunch of fuckups, for the Tooting Free Press is about to hit the streets of Old Smokey, and they’re even having a launch party.

Dear all,

We are very pleased to announce that the first issue of Tooting Free Press is finally finished and has gone to print!

We have also organised a launch party. This will be taking place at the Tooting Progressive Club, Saturday 16 June, 7pm onwards. The bar is open until very late and the drinks are cheap. Dave, the owner, has very kindly let us use the club for no fee, but sadly won’t be there on the night.

It is approximately a 10 minute walk from Tooting Broadway tube station (travelcard zone 3) and a 1 minute walk from Tooting rail station, which goes from London Bridge, London Blackfriars and Wimbledon. The following buses stop nearby: 44, 77, 264, 270, 280, 355, 57, 127 and 333.
